Græsk: De lande (atommagter), der besidder atomvåben (og brintbomber): Frankrig, Indien, Israel, Kina, Nordkorea, Pakistan, Rusland / Sovjetunionen, Storbritannien og USA.
Canada, Sydafrika og Ukraine har som de eneste lande trukket sig ud af atomklubben.
Atomvåbenklubbens medlemmer overvåges bl.a. af IAEA.
Besiddelse af kernevåben koncentrerer den politiske og militære magt hos præsidenterne i de stater, der har dem.

1 A test is defined in the Threshold Test Ban Treaty as either a single underground nuclear explosion conducted at a test site, or two or more underground nuclear explosions conducted within an area delineated by a circle having a diameter of two kilometers and conducted within a total period of time not to exceed 0.1 second.

3 India joins the nuclear club May 18, 1974. In the Rajasthan Desert in the state of Pokhran, India successfully detonates its first nuclear weapon, a fission bomb similar in explosive power to the U.S. atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan.
